The Blade Itself review

5 stars 🌟 This book is a 5 star simply because I had such a good time with these characters, and I see all the potential for the next two books. This is a grimdark fantasy about a band of characters who find themselves thrust into different parts of the ongoing political (and sometimes magically influenced) war struggles. We have Glokta, Logen, Bayaz, Jezal, and Ferro as our MAIN cast ( but there are other very important secondary characters) In the beginning there were definitely perspectives I was more invested in than others. However, by the second half of the book I was thoroughly invested in any perspective I was reading. When I read these characters interacting with each other I was laughing and sometimes on edge as to how they'd react.
